The Columbia River Gorge

We've been doing a little hiking as a family the last couple of weeks. We live right by The Columbia River Gorge, for those of you who have no idea what that even is, let me enlighten you. ;)   It's a river canyon more than 85 miles long, that separates Oregon & Washington AND It's gorgeous! The Gorge is home to more waterfalls than anywhere else in North America. The Gorge is full of wild flowers, waterfalls, cultural history, and beautiful views. And most importantly... it's all sorts of beautiful shades of green. =)
The community of 'Friends of the Columbia Gorge' have a challenged hikers to visit 25 (There's more than 75 of these waterfalls on the Oregon side alone) of these Gorge Waterfalls between March 1 and October 31st. We're over a month behind, but we're going to hit as many waterfalls as we can.

Here was our first...
Wahclella Falls
It was a 3 mile hike to one of the most pretty waterfalls in The Gorge

We did Bridal Veil last weekend, I'll post pictures soon and we wont be doing any hikes this weekend... BARTON here we come!! So excited!!
