De vuelta en El Salvador
On Monday Pratt, Jay and I caught a bus to Jay's first area, Vista Hermosa and also Pratt's last area. We met up with Zoila and her husband Ernesto Lovo and they drove us out to their beach house. We spent the day at the beach with them then they took us to eat pupusas on top of this mountain at a really famous pupuseria neighborhood called Los Planes de Renderos. They were amazing! I even ate the pupusas the correct way, with my fingers and the girl who came with us... una guanaca (a native), demanded a fork. They took us back to their casa, and that is where we stayed the night.
Anyway, here are the pictures....

Microbus... the correct pronunciation is meecro-boos
We counted about 20 of us in here... but that's nothing, usually it's up to 30 people

We went to restaurant and they had some monkeys just hanging out. Jay's pretty determined that we'll have one some day

The beach

Pratt and Jathan

If you look closely, you can see a spider crab

Here's a close up
They were pretty crazy digging in and out of the sand... you could barely see them

Jaylo and I enjoying the warm beach.. well I am... Jay thought it was too warm

Walking back to the beach house... a cow just taking a walk

Their beach house had a pretty cool pool... or a huge hottub

Tuesday 8-21-2007
On Tuesday we woke up pretty early and spent the morning with some members. It was a week day so it was hard to catch people home. After visiting families, we headed back to the Lovo's and they took us down town San Salv to a HUGE souvenir market then they took us to a restaurant on El Lago De Coatepeque (The same lake the Molina's took us to). We hung out at the restaurant all night, talking and relaxin on the hammocks that were there. It was sure beautiful! After the lake, we caught a bus and headed back to the Molina's in Santa Ana.
Here are the pictures from Tuesday...

La familia Alegria. Jay was really close with Edwin, the one on the right

We saw another family at their little food stand in the street that both Jay and Pratt knew

This little girl, Melanie was 4 when Jay first met her and she is now nine. He says that she was the cutest little girl he had ever seen. He wanted to bring her home. She was so cute! She even gave me that purple hair clip I'm holding. pretty cute.

A little chiquito hanging out

The Lovo's, Jay and I in front of their house

On our way to the Ex-cuartel (it's a huge market)

Pratt and Jay at the market, trying to make some money

El Lago De Coatepeque. This is a view from the restaurant

A little chica fishing with just a line at the restaurant next to us

All of us at the restaurant

The Rickters

Hanging out

As Lauren would say... the pancake relaxin

Bonito verdad?
San Miguel and Zacatecoluca coming soon

My jealousy is getting a little uncomfortable. I'm going to stop checking your site for a few days. I really wish we could have gone with you guys. Pretty stinkin' sweet trip! -Josh
I am with Les. It looks like you were having too much fun without us. However, Heath, that was a pretty skimpy swimming suit in that one picture!
I knew someone would mention the swimsuit....Dad, you should just be proud that she is still "HOT" enough to wear one!!
Seriously love the pics! What an amazing trip! You guys were super good about taking pictures too! Very impressive!! We miss you guys!!
I LOVE the picture of your feet in the hammock!! It is my fave--Ryan and I will have to go to South America now so we can recreate that pic with our feet (once he's a podiatrist, of course, and can make mine look pretty through podiatric plastic surgery).
Do people really get plastic surgery on their feet? And I'm still wating to hear if you are prego. My guess is your not by the looks of your body in that bikini shot.
