Thursday 8/16
On Thursday we decided to go to the lake where the Molina's have a really good friend that let them hang at their lake house. Before we took off, we decided to stop by Pollo Campero... it's similar to a KFC here in the states, but HUGE there. Everyone loves it. (In fact, when we flew home, tons of people had Pollo Campero "to go" on the plane to take to the states). Anyhow, we picked up some lunch and headed to the lake. We spent a couple of hours at the lake, swimming and just enjoying the scenery of the lake. After the lake, Jose (el hermano menor de Ernesto) took Jay and me around Santa Ana and toured the City Court House, an old theater and the Cathedral.

Just before this dog started rummaging through this garbage, a "bolo" (drunk bum) picked up the plastic bag, dumped it upside down and dug through it for food… found food then walked away from the filthy mess he had just made. I'm perfectly fine if the mans gotta eat, dig through garbage’s all you want,... but come' on.... pick up your mess! But littering is VERY common down there. It is perfectly normal to be riding on the bus and throw all of your wrappers out the window.
That's enough for now, next is our weekend in Guatemala!

It's like a whole different world down there...the world where Jay thinks it's okay to wear a speedo.
I think Jay likes that world.

I think Jay in a speedo reminds me all too well of him running on our treadmill in a speedo and then dad walked in on and suggested he put some pants on... not to mention he was the bishop at the time.
And it reminds me of some pictures that were sent to me on my mission. Jay, my brother Jeff, and a couple friends all bought Adidas brand matching speedos and then went to the beach and posed together for some provocative pictures in the sand. They nicknamed the Adidas speedos the "adidos". I'm wondering if any of the locals thought the American in the speedo was cool and that it was acceptable in the U.S. to wear speedos. Doubt it. They were probably thinking..."That's a guy, right? Isn't he supposed to have hair on his legs? Aren't guys in speedos supposed to be showing off big muscles? Why doesn't this guy even have pecks? Those Americans are goofy!" -Josh

Very cool guys! I'm loving all the pictures. It's really green, which surprises me.
