Jay met with his GI doctor on Monday, looks like the HIDA scan he did last Friday of his gal bladder came back completely normal. But that scan only means that as of that day and that moment, his gal bladder was working fine. Basically she said she's not sure what happened to Jay almost two weeks ago, it may have been a gallstones, but she can't be sure. She's actually wondering if it may have been Crohn's related after all.
It does worry her that Jay had two bacteria's found in his blood stream. One bacteria would have been quite normal, but to have two is worrying to her. She thought that maybe an ulcer in Jay's intestines (Which is from his Crohn's) maybe had burst. These ulcers are filled with lots of different bacteria's and that maybe if one had burst, that could be where the bacteria's came from.
She wants Jay to do a different scan that will take a closer look at his small intestines and hopefully that will give us some answers. If that scan doesn't work, she's going to want to do a colonoscopy just to make sure everything is okay.
Jay is doing well and feeling great! He was back to school & work pretty much the day after he left the hospital. Hopefully we'll know more soon. Thanks again for your thoughts and well wishes for Jay. Xoxo :)
And you know I can't post without at least a couple of pictures... what goofs!
