Happy 100th Grandpa!

We made a trip to Bear Lake, Idaho in September, it being My Grandpa Arnell's birthday on September 11. He passed away back in 1982, but this year would have been his 100th birthday. So his birthday kind of turned into a huge Arnell family reunion. I say huge, due to my Grandma having 28 grand-kids... and (as of right now)... I think 82 great-grandkids, with 3 more on the way & 5 Great-great-grandkids. We had a great turn out and it was SO good to see family that we don't get to see too often. And we sure missed those who couldn't be there.
ALL of my siblings & their spouses were going to be there so it was also a mini Roger Arnell reunion too. We haven't ALL been together since Jeff & Becky's wedding in March 07. Isn't that the saddest thing EVER! 4 and a half years? :( SO to say we were excited was an understatement. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my siblings and their families and it was so fun to all hang out, laugh and of course, make fun of each other. Siempre, right?!
A special "props" to Jeff & Becky and to their short trip, literally being 30 hours or something crazy like that. BUT I am SO happy they came. :)
It was a blast of a weekend and I only wished it could have been longer. Although, Leslie, Reese, Jacki, Avie, Oscar & I did have an extra day there, as we flew home (my parents stayed in Idaho with their RV, therefore no room traveling home, darn!). So we made it a girls day with lunch at Wingers and shopping!

Photo's of the weekend!

Finn & Gwen... OUT!

Quinn, Soy & Gwen
Jay was nice enough to walk them to this giant gorilla during one of our pit stops

Ballerina & Kung Fu fighter?

"QuGwa" as Aaron calls these two, loved uncle Fabulous!

Of course, our first thing on our agenda... Cafe Rio

NOW we can continue our day... ;)

We then left Logan and headed up to Bear Lake, where my Grandma lives. But first we stopped at this view point, over looking Bear Lake. Beautiful! Annie, her new husband and the boys joined us for the day and had never been to Bear Lake so we had to stop and take a look.

Jay with Alex & Jono, and Tristin

We hung out Saturday night in St. Charles and visited Grandma & family.
It was a lovely evening. Life doesnt get much better when you're surrounded by the people you love the most-est and not to mention, at a place you have so many great childhood memories.

"all right, already! Let's go"

The Roger Arnell crew stayed in these fun cabins just right around the corner from my Grandma's house. We rented 5, plus we had the Phaeton.

Sunday afternoon we celebrated my Grandpa's 100th birthday! We had lunch and then hung out for quite some time, then we all drove over to the cemetery and sang "Happy birthday" to my grandpa, then went back to my Grandma's had homemade ice cream and hung out some more. Lovely, lovely time!

Oscar has the same name as his Great-great-Grandpa :)

And he is also named after his Gerat Grandpa Cleneth... Oscar Cleneth
(Some people thought we made this name up... so proof that we didn't ;) )

Just a couple of pictures of our last day before we flew out

What a fantastic weekend!
Hope the next reunion is sooner than later :)
