So I went outside to go to work and I found this in my parking spot....
......NOTHING!!!!Our civic was stolenIt's been a year and a half since we have lived in Salt Lake and we've had 3 break-ins into our poor Honda Civic. We're averaging a break-in every six months. The first two times they did some damage but weren't successful...amateurs! But the third time was a charm! A cop actually called us later today and said they had found our civic... about 3 blocks away from our apartment. They busted our steering column, which we just had fixed a few months ago, from the first break-in and they stole pretty much everything. After some finger prints were taken, we went to start the civic and... wouldn't you know...it didn't start. We had to get it towed to a dealer and we'll find out more on Monday. We're pretty much done with the Honda Civic scene. We'll get it fixed and hopefully get something that isn't considered "prime rib" for the car thieves here in Salt Lake. We were kind of just hoping we wouldn't find it...but whatever.

That's too bad guys!! Time for a car that isn't #1 on the stolen list! Let us know if you need rides anywhere...

So sorry to hear about the Honda. It reminded me (many years ago, like 25 or 30), of driving back up our street and noticing our pick-up truck wasn't parked in the parking space of our cul-de-sac. I wondered if Roger had loaned it to our neighbors and not said anything to me. Called him at work only to be told he had not loaned it to anyone! What a shock. The first muddled thoughts were "what did I do with the truck?" Totally know what you went through when you went to get in your car and it wasn't there, then the almost hope that they don't find it. Yep, they found our truck and it had been stripped to almost just a shell. Not fun. It makes me feel so bad for you. Keep us posted. Was going to call today but got busy cutting up all the inserts. The ribbon is all on and tied (big job and a sore finger). We are almost there! You'll get yours soon! Love you, Mamasita.
We found out our truck was stolen on my birthday! Did you have insurance? For a car that old, insurance wouldn't be too much help though. Let us know how things work out.
We have bad history with Honda Civic break-ins as well, 3 break-ins. After the 2nd break in we put a $20 stereo in it. Never stolen though! Such a bummer because they are such nice cars!
That sucks you guys have to keep going through this! I always knew Honda Civic's were the cars to have, but somebody is gonna get slapped real soon. Does your insurance cover auto theft?
Oh, one time my Dad thought his car had been stolen. He was visiting a friends house and looked outside and his car was gone! He ran outside, looked all around, and...saw his car at the bottom of the hill, crashed into some poor old lady's front porch. Right through the front door. So...things could be worse?
Your next move should be out of Salt Lake. What a pain!
