Jay and some friends signed up for a 100 mile bike race called "Reach the beach". The boys started early Saturday morning, just West of Portland and they ride all day until they arrived at the beach. My friend Amy's husband also did the race, so we both drove out there in the afternoon and we went to the Tillamook factory, toured around the factory, tried some cheese and then ate some ice cream, We then headed South to Pacific City where they boys were ending their race. We were there at the finish line when they came in and it was pretty cool to be there and see them cross the finish line. :)
We played on the beach for the rest of the evening, playing in the water and the sand until it started getting late. We were both staying up North in Seaside, and the Millers were nice enough to let us crash at their beach house. It was a ton of fun and Jay has already signed up for next year. :) And we're already looking forward to it. We love the Oregon coast!

Here we are waiting for the boys to cross the finish line...

Fun on the beach...
Sunday morning we went to church. None of us even thought about bringing church clothes, and Jay actually packed his own stuff but didn't tell me to grab it when I left. So I though he packed his stuff and took it with him. So he was at the beach with nothing but his bike stuff. He even had to wear his bike shoes to church. It was pretty funny.
And a little Seaside fun...
The kids didn't "ride" the shark, but the worker was nice enough to let the kids sit on the shark for a little while.
Pierce HATED it. haha!
Merry-go-round!
Oscar held on TIGHT! haha!
It was such a fun weekend and I was so proud of Jay. It was his first big race and did AWESOME!!
